Innovators serve to inspire others and find solutions to complicated problems. When it comes to pollinator health in Oregon, this starts at the State level. For example, did you know that Oregon has some of the most progressive pollinator legislation in the county? Thanks to House Bill 3362, passed in 2015, Oregon is the only state in the country with a funded mandate to develop a pollinator health strategy. How did we end up with such progressive legislation? It’s because of the many farmers, foresters, land managers, landscapers, beekeepers, researchers, educators, and homeowners who are passionate about pollinator protection.
